Who doesn’t like a handy glossary!

B2B: Business to Business. Stakeholder relationships between companies. eg Business A marketing directly to Business B.

B2C: Business to Consumer. When a company works directly with the consumer eg Business A marketing to mothers.

DM: is an acronym for Direct Marketing. Direct marketing is a channel-agnostic form of advertising which allows businesses  to communicate straight to there audience – usually using direct advertising media such as mobile phones for text messaging, emails, websites, online display advertisements, databases, flyers, catalogues in mailboxes, personalised or promotional letters, specifically targeted TV commercials, print advertising with actions or outdoor advertising (including digital signage).

eDm: is an acronym for electronic mail. ie, email.

KPI: Key Performance Indicator. Used to benchmark and view results to measure for success.

SIT: System Integration Testing – the testing of an application to ensure it meets its engineering specifications.

SWOT: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. It is a strategic tool to help understand your business/product/service at a point in time.

UAT: User Acceptance Testing – testing whether an application meets the business need. Normally the product owner is involved to ensure if fits the brief

URL: is an acronym for Uniform Resource Locator and is a reference (an address) to a resource on the Internet.
